Tambo Blanquillo Lodge is proud to have statistical data obtained from a daily monitoring program on the Blanquillo Macaw Clay Lick (for Macaws) and on the Camungo and Blanco Oxbow Lakes (for River Otters). We have been monitoring this over seven years which has provided us with very a solid data base in regard to the opportunities of viewing the different species. There is no other lodge o reserve (private or public in Perú or South America) that offers this service. In the end, this enables us to offer high probability of successful wildlife observation and also sets an educated notion of what the wildlife behavior will be throughout the year. This information helps the tourist plan the trip dates according to their interests and expectations. This monitoring program we offer is fully operated by the Tambo Blanquillo staff in venture with the reported sightings provided by our guests on a daily basis. In this manner, the data we handle is not only accurate, but also consistent and helps us truly belief in its reliability.
